Activities

We keep a full calendar of activities for moms and kids of all ages.  Our activities are driven by the needs of members and are flexible.  Our group is a child friendly group, so children are welcome at all activities, including Couples' Night Out and MOMS Night Out.  So, if you prefer not to use a sitter, should one cancel, or hubby works 3rd shift, remember that you can always bring your children with you.

Some of our regular monthly activities sponsored by club members may include:

Book / Movie Club:  Though our ambitions run high, we frequently choose a book that is also a movie so we can cheat when we get together for discussions.

Breakfast Bunch:  For our early birds, a time for jumping in the car with jammies and Joe and getting together at a member's home.

Couples' Night Out:  A fun time for just Mom & Dad without the kids.  These can be baseball games, wine & cheese, or potluck and a good round of cards or trivia.

Craft Catch-Up:  A time to (attempt) to get some crafting done while the kiddos play.  For some of us that can be knitting and for others it merely means tweezing our eyebrows!

Family Day:  Let's face it, hubbies need friends too!  Family outings have included a trip to Polar Express, trips to the pumpkin patch for hayrides and bonfires, and an annual holiday party in December.

Fieldtrips:  Field trips have included Fire Stations, Waste Management Facilities, Auntie Anne's, Children's Museums and pizzarias.  We try to schedule age appropriate places and special opportunities for the kids.

Java Jump:  Once the weather turns, there is a small group that meet at a coffee shop near the traintracks once a month.  The kids love looking at the trains and the mommies can enjoy a cup of cappucinno.

Lunch Bunch:  A well attended event and a fun way to change it up.  These are usually themed such as pregnant cravings, pizzas, tailgate, St. Paddy's day green food, picnic foods, Mexican ... well you get the point.  We usually meet at a member's home.

MOMS Night Out:  Monthly, we take time out to let our hair down and de-stress.  These are planned by individuals and have included trips to the spa, Japanese Steak House, fondue, wedding album memories and more.

Parties:  Who doesn't love a good party?  We plan regular parties for the kiddos and for moms as well.  Regular parties have included Halloween, December holiday party, Valentine's, and an end of the year banquet.

Playdates:  We love these!  While the kids play at various local parks, indoor play places, or wading pools, moms can get away from the strain of the day.

Scrapbooking:  We have a group that meets monthly to catch up on their scrapping and share supplies.
