We will be sponsoring the following organizations this year:

Adopt-A-Spot ... Summer 2010.  Our annual city beautification spot.  Ann is the point person for this.

Akron Ronald McDonald House ... In December 2009 we filled and distributed 30 hospitalilty bags to the Akron Ronald McDonald house.  We maintain a charitable relationship with them by occassionally dropping off baked goods and there are a few individuals from the club who hope to volunteer to make dinner there once or twice a year.

Conkerr Cancer  ... Spring 2010  Pillowcase making party.  We will be collecting fabric donations for this project.

Coupons for Troops ... ongoing.  Please send expired and current coupons to Tish.  Coupons should not be expired for more than 2 months.  These will be sent to our adopted base each month for our overseas Service Families to use at the PX.

Domestic Violence Shelter ... In October 2009 we donated several hundered dollars of household goods, cell phones and stamps to the Akron Battered Women's Shelter.

Each year, we perform service projects, one of which must directly affect the children in our local area.  MOMS Club of Cuyahoga Falls, OH has been recognized by International MOMS Club for outstanding service projects several times.  Some of the service projects have included:

Adopt-A-Spot:  We maintain an award winning beautification spot at 15th and Crest.

Akron Children's Hospital:  We created no-sew fleece blankets for use by children staying at the hospital.

Angel Tree Family:  Adopting a needy family at Christmas time and providing them with wrapped gifts and pantry items during the holiday season.

Conkerr Cancer:  Cash donation to purchase fabric to be made into pillowcases for use by children with life changing diseases while they are in area Children's Hospitals.

Good Neighbors School Supply Drive:  Annual donation of school supplies to our local charity.

9/11 Bake Sale:  Shortly after, we held a bake sale and the proceeds went to 9/11 relief organizations.
